Summer Arts Program
Program Information,
Registration and Policy
Note: Registration in
program allows for flexible summer scheduling unless otherwise noted.
Children’s
Art Program:
Monday – Friday
9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
This program welcomes
students between the ages of five and fourteen. Enrollment is limited
to twelve students per day. Classes begin promptly at 9:00 a.m.
Please schedule your student’s arrival accordingly. All class
materials are provided. Students are required to wear clothing appropriate
to the creative nature of the program. Please label all personal
items. Students should plan to take home finished projects at the
end of each class period.
Afternoon Academic
and Tutorial Program:
Monday - Thursday 2:30
p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
This program provides
students with individualized instruction and tutorial in a small
group setting. Emphasis is given to individual planning and goal
setting. Students, their families and administration will work together
to create goals appropriate for the duration of the student’s
enrollment. All goals will be structured from individualized assessment.
Appropriate curriculum and learning activity will be chosen according
to assessment. Individualized planning will support the needs of
each student’s program. This program will ensure successful
acquisition, goal attainment and cater to each student’s needs
during the learning process.
The program enrolls six
students per day. All class materials and curriculum are provided.
Adult Evening
Art Workshop:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
This program, offered
to ages 15 and above, will focus on the adult’s creative learning
process. Activity will compliment students at all skill levels.
All materials will be provided. Instruction and activity will be
individualized to meet the goals and interests of each participant.

Administration requests
that tuition be paid in full at time of registration. Students are
also welcomed to enroll in additional classes if space allows.
Children’s
Art Program Meal Times:
Snack time: 10:30 a.m.
Lunch time: 12:30 p.m.
Students are required
to bring their own snacks and lunches. Our school’s “Snack
Café” will also offer drinks and frozen treats for
a nominal fee. Our school is also next to Burger Hut. Please speak
to the program director for information about alternative meal arrangements.

School Facility:
Our school facility is
air- conditioned. There is a refrigerated water fountain and refrigeration
for food items. Students will be provided with storage space for
their personal items.
Friends of the
Progressive Schoolhouse
The Friends of the Progressive
Schoolhouse, associate with IIETA, is a year-round associate comprised
of parents and friends of the school. The association formed to
provide a continuous source of support for the variety of educational
activities at The Progressive Schoolhouse. Volunteer opportunities
range from time contributions for Schoolhouse repair/improvement
projects, helping with fundraisers, leading student field study
activities, to organizing special events.
